From Bukavu, CTDGH works across disciplines and borders to generate knowledge that can be used.

CTDGH is a research centre of the Catholic University of Bukavu dedicated to the study, prevention and control of infectious and tropical diseases. We work where scientific questions are most urgent: in communities, health facilities, laboratories and the policy spaces that connect them.

Our approach combines epidemiology, clinical research, laboratory diagnostics, data science and artificial intelligence. We build partnerships with communities, universities, public institutions and international networks so that evidence moves beyond publication into practice.

We believe research excellence is inseparable from equity. Every collaboration is an opportunity to strengthen local research leadership, train the next generation of scientists and make innovation accountable to the people it is meant to serve.
